Clubhouse use rules relaxed

Written by Fiona MacLaren

HELENSBURGH Tennis Club has eased the restrictions on use of the clubhouse.

Covid Officer Fiona MacLaren said: "The committee would like to thank you for your understanding in restricting your activities around the club over these past two challenging years.

"It seems that it is now possible to resume some of our social activities indoors — exercise classes have been running for some time.

"To keep everybody as safe as possible, please continue to be mindful of the following advice on meeting up socially."

  • Remain cautious and vigilant on your social interaction.
  • Keep a safe distance – at least 1 metre - from people not in your household, especially indoors.
  • Wear a face mask indoors unless eating and/or drinking.
  • Open windows — the more fresh air, the safer it will be. And please close them afterwards!
  • Consider monitoring your own health by taking a lateral flow test before meeting.
  • When using the kitchen, limit the number of people working in the confined internal space, to a maximum of two people.
  • Where dishwashing is required, please provide your own tea towels and remove them at the end of the gathering or meeting, ensuring that the kitchen is left tidy, no items left on the draining rack, and surfaces left clear and sprayed with anti-bacterial spray (supplied by the club) before leaving.

Fiona added: "We hope that by following these simple measures, we can meet up safely and enjoy our club facilities."
